Magali Benvenuti graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp in 2008 with a Dance Bachelor degree. She also has a Master
in German and a degree in Russian.
She danced for Jean-Claude Gallotta (CCNG, Fr), Ugo Dehaes (Kwaadbloed Company, Brussels), Cie Scalène (Grenoble, Fr). She
founds the Tancarville company in 2011 in Grenoble (France) and co-creates Tancarville (2011), Prinfeff’ (2014), Travaux Manuels (2014), TP and C’n’est pas à un vieux singe qu’on apprend à vendre la
peau de l’ours (2016-17). She also choreographed for children from “La Petite Compagnie” (Album ABCDanse, Grenoble). She teaches in schools in the region of Grenoble, in partnership with regional
In her academic studies, she has taken an interest in foreign writers who have decided to write in German - the language of
their adoptive country. This research also feeds her creative process by her interest in languages and hybrid forms. In the Cie Tancarville she creates with artists from different fields, they work
together on live performances going across various art forms.
